This video just made me so happy - I was smiling from ear to ear while watching it. First of all, this is one of my favorite songs, and I’m pretty sure for all the reasons Taylor Swift loves it. Plus, the two of them just look like they’re having the most fun up there. Something I love about Taylor Swift, she is having a good time. She loves music, she credits all her influences and plays her favorite songs with the artists who inspire her a lot.
And then in the middle (Ha! See what I did there?) she says something like “Hey Phoenix, Arizona. Don’t they look beautiful tonight, Jim? Look at this. Please let me tell you a little bit about this guy on this stage. This is someone who has written songs that have gotten me through some of the toughest moments in my life. And I’m sure yours. This is a guy who walked into sound check today and he said, ‘They’re not gonna know who I am.’ He’s that humble. This is a guy from Mesa, Arizona ladies and gentlemen.”
I totally wish I had been at that concert.
